Burgers, burgers, burgers...............................................

I've got a friend who names himself "Burger".  Goodness knows why?  But I'm guessing that it may be his comfort food.

Which I guess to a lot of people, it is!  What nicer combination is there than a thick meat patty, good sauce and a soft warm bread?  So, as a tribute, here are some burgers from NZ....

OK, technically, can this be called a burger?  Maybe not...  But it's a surprising good combination of the very common hollandaise sauce, ham, beef patty and rye bread!  Surprisngly good, and found in Dunedin!

As for this...  It's the Double Angus Burger with Double Cheese!  I think if you just double anything in a burger, it just tastes twice as good!

And finally...  Here's the premium burger from NZ McDonald's!  Um....  Maybe you guys can tell me what's so premium about it?

Desserts in Auckland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are.....  2 choices for dessert in the entire Auckland. 

Well, OK, I might have exaggerated a little, but if you're not into fancy dining at night, there are really only 2 places you get to choose from.  Frasers (think of the small cafe in "Friends") and Movenpick.

For Movenpick, you get this!  Yes, really really good sumptous creamy ice-cream.  Possibly the best ice-cream in this world too!  Haagen Dazs?  Well, that's if you are into all sorts of flavours!  For good ole creamy ice creamy, it must be Movenpick!

And for "Frasers", you get this.  A slab of Bailey's cheesecake.  Which, to Aucklanders, they think it's really good.  Personally?  Well, it's the best!  Of 2 choices....

New Zealand, the land of good coffee!!!!!

If you're looking for good coffee and went to Italy thinking you'll find it, you'll be sorely disappointed.  That's because of all the places I've been to (yes, Italy is included), there has been no place to get better coffee than New Zealand!

The best part about NZ, is that you can go into any cafe (yes, ANY cafe), and you're bound to find good coffee. And even if you don't, you can honestly tell them that they've screwed up and they'll be more than happy to make another one to your perfection!

And why is NZ coffee so good?  One simple reason!  Because they're made correctly!  Meaning that like this cup above, they know that they need cocoa powder for a mocha, they add the right amount of milk mixed with a strong cup of espresso!

Which brings me to where you can find the best coffee in the world generally. That'll be Starbucks. Cause they make coffee right! 

P.S: Yes, I will maintain my view despite all the Pacific Coffee lovers out there....

Good ole comfort food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing better than eating some really greasy food!  Fries, chicken wings, wedges, hash browns, pizza, steak.....  Mmmm......

Like, Denny's for example!  Is it only found in New Zealand now?  But I love their Ham&Cheese melt, fries, hash browns!  Such nostalgia, it was one of my best meals on my trip back to NZ! 

I remember fondly how me and my friends would come here for supper, since it opens 24hours, after mahjong on holidays.  Best supper ever!

Anyway..  Time for dinner!  Fries, anyone?

A proper All Day Breakfast!

如果大家有幸去紐西蘭，就千其唔好錯過食早餐的機會！因爲無論你去任何一間cafe, 都必定食到一份正中，豐富，好好味的早餐哦！

今次，就介紹係 Queenstown (皇后鎮）的 "Joe's Garage"!  點解叫 啊 Joe 車房？因爲啊 Joe 大廚將這裡改成一間cafe 前，佢就係這裡的車房佬！之後，佢沖給顧客喝的咖啡實在太正，所以索性開cafe!

不過，言歸正傳，介紹 All Day Breakfast! 甚麽爲之proper (正中）呢？可以參考以上！ Scrambled eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Tomato, Portobello mushroom, Potato, Baked Beans, Toast!  加埋曬，先至標準！

所以，係香港食到的 All Day Breakfast?  10個有9個應該唔合規格！

最尾，介紹這個 “腿蛋治” 給大家！哈哈，有齊蛋，火腿，麵包！應該“合格”做腿蛋治吧！

Haven't written my blog for so long!  Why?  Cause I was away in New Zealand, and the post Chinese New Year period have just been busssssssyyyyyy...................! 

But hey, I'm back!  So for the next few blogs, let me write about the wonders of NZ food! 

1st up....  The "clean green" organic foods of NZ, of course!

See the fruit juice and cherries in the photo above?  They're picked right at this orchard, then juiced and packed!  How's that for eating straight off the tree!?

And of course, the clean air, clear waters, radiant sunshine of NZ make it an ideal place for fresh produce!!!!  So...  Stay tuned for more foodie photos!!!!!!!!!
